BL227 - Beer and hops

This loop starts at Hochfelden, famous for its beer-making, and takes you on a hillside ride with a view over Strasbourg Cathedral as you cycle through the charming little villages, including Hohatzenheim with its Romanesque basilica. Wingersheim is the capital of hop growing, where you can discover how this plant is cultivated and its properties while appreciating its subtle aroma when you taste the local farm-brewed beer. You return via the canal path which meanders alongside the river Zorn.
