" Come dressed in your best costumes to celebrate carnival. Witch, superhero, princess… Which costume will you choose this year? "
Every year, on the Sunday after Mardi Gras, the traditional Buerefasenacht takes place in Roppenheim. During this carnival parade, spectators can admire floats, bands, carnival performers, brass bands and musicians... Since 1959, the tradition initiated by the music society "Harmonie de Roppenheim" continues, now organised by the FASC (Federation of Sports and Cultural Associations of Roppenheim). The "Bürefasenacht" is a privileged moment to meet up, dress up, party and above all have fun. This "farmers' carnival" is traditionally organised after the Herrefasenacht (Carnival of the Lords) in Hoerdt. The programme includes a cavalcade starting at 2.29 pm with 50 registered groups and floats, followed by a free ball at around 5 pm in the village hall with the Les Top's orchestra.
