The Festival aux Chandelles has been an international classical music festival since 1962.
The festival owes its name to the 200 or so candles that light up the concert evenings.
The festival places special emphasis on the music of today and the music of Johann Sebastian Bach.
It will take place at the church of Saint-Pierre-sur-l'Hâte in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines on Ascension weekend, May 9-11, 2024.
This weekend's program includes concerts by the following artists:
- Jean-Marc Luisada on Thursday May 9: "Au cinéma ce soir".
- Ensemble Regards on Friday May 10: Musique d'aujourd'hui. Wayra
- Marie-Claudine and Hélène Papadopoulos on Saturday May 11: "Jean-Sébastien BACH" Sonatas for keyboard and violin.
