The Humanist Library is organising a rich cultural programme around the En Garde! exhibition. It is in this context that it welcomes the Moselle-based Théâtre DEST and their show for young audiences, from age 7 upwards.
Childhood memories shared with young spectators
The show tells the story of a little boy who falls madly in love with the theatre. It's also the adventures of a man who realises how lucky he is to have discovered theatre as a child, including ‘Les Trois Mousquetaires’ directed by Marcel Maréchal. The narrator is a child who finds in D'Artagnan his invincible alter ego, a hero-confidant who will protect, console and guide him throughout his childhood. Through D'Artagnan's epics, he shares his jubilation at being able to tell stories to children.
Reassuring children who are hungry for stories!
This show aims to make Alexandre Dumas' novel “The Three Musketeers” accessible to children who might not have the chance to read it for a few years. To make it fun and lively. It's an opportunity to bring to life this world of cloaks and swords, with its many twists and turns and its invigorating liveliness. The staging recaptures the simplicity of a child playing in his secret garden, with four pieces of string and two knitting needles. It's an opportunity for young spectators to experience a story in which they can find themselves and imagine themselves as heroes.
